Call for Visitors
CRI is announcing a call for visitors program for the academic year 2010-2011. The program is for established researchers from various disciplines who wish to visit the University of Haifa for short-term periods.
Their work should emphasize the interaction between computer science research and other fields such as social sciences, the humanities, exact sciences or the arts.
Visitors are encouraged to collaborate with members of the Computer Science Department or other departments at the University of Haifa. They are expected to engage in research activities, giving talks, seminars, courses or workshops. A preference will be given to visitors who collaborate with members of the CS department.
Support subsidies are available to cover office space, part of the visitors' travel and University accommodation (if available).
Application for Visitors should include:
- Name, email, and affiliation of the visitor.
- Name of the host at the University, and of the collaborator from the CS dept (if exists).
- Short Curriculum vitae of the visitor and the host, that includes list of recent publications and grants.
- Preferred time of visit.
- Duration of the visit.
- Summary of previous research results (2 pages maximum).
- Research plans while at CRI (at most one page) -
Applicants should explain how C.R.I. resources or collaboration with members of the CS department or other departments of the university will benefit them, and how they hope to contribute to research life or education at the University of Haifa.
- Seminar talk and/or mini-course (please state if a talk or a series of talks are expected).
