Professional Counseling and Technical Support for
Applications of Virtual Reality Technologies in
Diagnosis, Therapy, and Rehabilitation

The Caesarea Edmond Benjamin de Rothschild Foundation Institute for Interdisciplinary Applications of Computer Science was founded at 2001 in the University of Haifa. The institute encourages Computer Science interdisciplinary research activities and several workshops and international symposiums in the field of Virtual Reality technologies application in rehabilitation have taken place under its umbrella.

 

The Laboratory for Innovations in Rehabilitation Technology was established at 2001 by Prof. Patrice L. (Tamar) Weiss, as part of the Department of Occupational Therapy of the University of Haifa.

 

The lab operates many Virtual Reality technological applications such as games and applications for treatment of brain injury and PTSD patients.

 

The lab team has extensive experience with the setup of Virtual Reality environments for treatment and rehabilitation, and it includes researchers, post doctorates, graduate students, clinicians, a programmer, and a technician.
