Golumbic. The conference will be devoted to the research work done by Golumbic, in the areas of graph theory, algorithms, and artificial intelligence.
Location:
The conference will take place in three locations in Israel: in Jerusalem on September 19-20, at the Sheraton hotel on the Sea of Galilee on September 21-24, and at the University of Haifa on September 25. More up to date information about the hotels, prices, room booking instructions, conference fees, travel information, excursions, etc. will be posted on the conference website.

Satellite Workshops:
On the weekend of September 19-20 there will be a "Computers and Jewish Thought" seminar in Jerusalem. Details will follow.
Call for Papers:
Authors are invited to submit an extended abstract in English no longer than 10 pages (preferably in LaTeX, 11pt font formatted for A4 size paper). The conference proceedings are expected to be published in the LNCS series of Springer. Accepted papers are expected to be presented at the conference. The final version of each accepted paper must meet the standards set by Springer. The scope of the conference includes aspects of Computer Science and Mathematics related to research done by Prof. Martin C. Golumbic. Please send abstracts by email to Marina Lipshteyn by June 22, 2008.
Call for Special Sessions:
Researchers interested in proposing a Special Session on a topic related to the conference, are invited to send a short proposal to the conference organizer Irith Ben-Arroyo Hartman.
Special issue of DAM:
We are happy to announce that there will also be a special issue of Discrete Applied Mathematics dedicated to the occasion of Prof. Martin C. Golumbic's birthday. The submission of papers to the DAM special issue is independent of the LNCS volume, (but may include full-length journal versions of selected, extended abstracts), and is not limited to the participants of the conference. All papers will be refereed, and acceptance will follow the standards of Discrete Applied Mathematics. The deadline for journal submissions is expected to be six weeks after the conference.
